Lifetime Extension

Completion of the repowering at Bockstigen in November 2018 delivered a formal technical lifetime extension for the offshore wind farm, with Momentum and DEIF stating that reuse of the existing towers, lattice structures and foundations combined with refurbished V47 main components would extend the wind farm’s operating life by at least 15 years, and Momentum’s later presentation describing the outcome as a technical lifetime extension of around 15–20 years for the ageing offshore asset.
