On 14 August 2014, the Alstom Haliade demonstration turbine at Belwind was first energised from the offshore grid, allowing hot commissioning activities to begin. As a demo turbine, it was equipped with additional procedures, sensors and monitoring systems to support an extensive commissioning and test programme.
