Offshore construction of the Belwind Alstom Haliade Demonstration turbine began with the realisation of the Belwind Demo project in 2013, involving installation of a jacket foundation and a 6 MW GE/Alstom Haliade 150 turbine at location L01 on the Belwind concession. These works, carried out across 2013–2014 and including jacket grouting and offshore turbine installation, marked the start of site-based construction for the single‑turbine demonstration at the Belwind offshore wind farm.
