On 12 February 2013, Belwind and Alstom announced an agreement under which part of the Belwind Phase 2 wind power plant in the North Sea off Zeebrugge would serve as a laboratory and testing site for Alstom’s newly launched Haliade 150-6MW offshore wind turbine, confirming selection of the Belwind Phase 2 area as the offshore demonstration location.
