By November 2013, Alstom had completed offshore foundation works for the 6 MW Haliade 150 demonstration turbine at the Belwind site off Ostend, including installing a 61-metre jacket on piles driven to over 60 metres depth and securing it by pile grouting. This heavy jacket structure forms the base for the prototype turbine located about 45 km off the Belgian coast.
