In spring 2014, Jan De Nul Group secured an array cable installation contract for the Alstom Haliade 150‑6MW demonstration turbine within the Belwind facility, covering engineering and the offshore installation, burial and erosion protection of a 1,852‑metre 33kV infield cable connecting the turbine to Belwind’s offshore high‑voltage substation, executed using the fall‑pipe vessel Simon Stevin and associated trenching equipment.
