In June 2014 Alstom reported that the Haliade 150-6MW prototype at the Belwind 2 site was still not supplying power because it lacked a grid connection, and stated that its connection cables were scheduled to begin installation in July 2014, with first power expected in August. This plan defined the intended start of the 33 kV cable installation campaign linking the demonstration turbine to the Belwind offshore high-voltage substation.
