On 23 February 2024, Ofgem published a decision on TC Beatrice OFTO Limited’s Exceptional Event claim under Amended Standard Condition E12-J4 of its offshore transmission licence, determining that a failure on 17 and 19 January 2023 at the Beatrice offshore transmission system was not caused by an exceptional event, and therefore did not warrant exceptional-event treatment under the licence incentive framework.
