On 15 April 2020, following notification under section 10B(3) of the Electricity Act because TC Beatrice OFTO Limited’s ultimate controllers INPP and HUNT are from third countries, the UK Secretary of State concluded that certifying TC Beatrice OFTO Limited as an offshore transmission operator was acceptable under the third‑country provisions of section 10O, allowing Ofgem’s certification process for the Beatrice offshore transmission project to proceed.
