Seaway7

Seaway7 (part of Subsea7) was awarded a sizeable contract by Ocean Winds in December 2025 for the offshore installation scope of the BC-Wind project in the Polish Baltic Sea. Seaway7's scope covers the transport and installation of 26 wind turbine transition pieces together with the offshore substation platform. Offshore activities are scheduled to start in 2027 using Seaway7's heavy lift installation vessels. The contract complements DEME's foundation and export cable installation scope for the same project. For the BC-Wind Export grid connection specifically, Seaway7's relevant categories are oss_installation (installing the offshore substation topside onto its foundation) and foundation_installation (installing the transition pieces that support the turbines which will ultimately feed the export system).
