Description
Hanab is performing horizontal directional drilling (HDD) works near Ustka for the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 export cable landfalls. The HDD operations install ducts under the beach and coastal dunes to allow the submarine export cables to transition from the offshore to onshore environment without open trenching through sensitive coastal areas. This trenchless installation technique minimises environmental impact at the landfall location west of Ustka where the two 220 kV HVAC export cables for each wind farm come ashore.
