On 17 September 2024, project developers Equinor and Polenergia signed a contract with Dutch contractor Visser & Smit Hanab for horizontal directional drilling (HDD) works in the landfall area for the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 projects, covering four HDD bores and installation of four cable ducts to bring the export cables and power onshore.
