Following the award of a Contract for Difference by the Polish Energy Regulatory Office, Ørsted stated in 2021 that, subject to closing of the joint venture transaction with PGE and both parties taking final investment decisions, the Baltica 3 phase (around 1 GW) of the Baltica offshore wind farm was planned to start generating power around 2026, marking first power export from Baltica 3.
