Description
Van Oord was contracted by PGE Group and Ørsted to transport and install the monopile foundations for the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm. Van Oord’s scope covered the transportation and installation of 111 monopiles, comprising 107 turbine monopiles and 4 monopiles for offshore substations. The company planned to mobilise the offshore installation vessels Aeolus and Svanen for the work, with monopile installation scheduled to start in 2026.
