At the beginning of 2023, Baltic Power obtained the first required building permits for the onshore part of the Baltic Power Export grid connection project, covering infrastructure such as the onshore substation and land cable works associated with the export grid connection. This onshore permitting milestone was the first such decision issued for an offshore wind project in Poland and is cited as a key step towards the project’s final investment decision and subsequent construction phase.
