Description
Siemens was part of the Siemens–Prysmian venture contracted by TenneT TSO to deliver the HelWin2 (HelWin beta) HVDC grid connection for the Amrumbank West offshore wind farm. The work included supplying HVDC PLUS-based converter station equipment and delivering offshore and onshore converter station works to connect the wind farm’s export system into the German onshore grid (construction/commissioning completed in 2015).
