Description
Ballast Nedam was contracted to install monopile foundations at the Amrumbank West offshore wind farm using its heavy lift vessel Svanen, with offshore work planned to start in mid-August. The monopiles were described as 800-ton units supporting 80 Siemens 3.6 MW turbines; the contractor indicated the contract had flexibility and did not specify a fixed number of monopiles to be installed by Ballast Nedam.
