Schleswig-Holstein Netz AG commenced onshore construction works to renew the 20 kV subsea power cable between Norddorf on Amrum and Utersum on Föhr, including connection at local distribution substations, as part of a €2.15 million project to replace a 1944-vintage cable and secure Amrum’s electricity supply; by the time of reporting these renewal works were nearing completion.
