Ofgem confirmed its rejection of Aminth from the third cap and floor window on 12 November 2024. The rejection was due to deliverability concerns, specifically challenges obtaining a grid connection in the connecting country (Denmark). Aminth's grid connection agreement had been terminated as of August 2024, linked to the Danish Energy Agency's delay of the North Sea Energy Island timeline to 2036. No further responses or additional evidence were submitted by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners to support the project following Ofgem's minded-to rejection in March 2024. Without a cap and floor revenue regime, the project has no viable regulatory financing path in the UK.
