DELAYED +11yr (May 2026): FID was projected for 2026 per CIP's February 2023 portfolio announcement (NTB / GlobeNewswire). Project went on hold August 2024 after the Danish North Sea Energy Island grid connection agreement was terminated, and Ofgem rejected Aminth from Window 3 cap-and-floor on 12 November 2024 due to deliverability concerns. No public CIP restart announcement, no fresh FID forecast, no successor revenue regime secured. Aminth Energy Ltd remains an active UK corporate entity (Companies House 11049753, FY2024 accounts filed Dec 2025) so the project is in hibernation rather than cancelled. Aligning the FID projection with the reset COD and first_power horizon at 2036 year-end, pending any future cap-and-floor window re-application and a restored Danish connection point. --- Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners plans for its Aminth interconnector, part of a 4.2 GW portfolio linking the UK with mainland Europe, to reach final investment decision (FID) in 2026, enabling progression towards planned operations between 2030 and 2032.
