SeaRoc Group, legally Searoc Group Limited and now operating as Ascertra-SeaRoc Limited within Vela Software Group, provides software, consultancy and marine engineering services focused on offshore renewable energy, particularly offshore wind. Founded in 2002 and based in southern England, the company originated as a specialist provider of marine and engineering support to offshore renewable projects and has since evolved into a provider of SaaS offshore wind farm management systems. Its offerings combine an Offshore Management System, Marine Management System and Safe System of Work into an integrated platform designed to support the full lifecycle of offshore wind projects from construction into operations. SeaRoc’s core technology is SeaPlanner, a modular, web‑based offshore and marine management and monitoring suite first developed in 2006 to give clients a user‑friendly, integrated system for project data. SeaPlanner functions as a marine operations and compliance engine, providing real‑time tracking of personnel, vessels using AIS, and site assets on an interactive GIS map, along with monitoring, reporting and collaboration tools to manage HSEQ requirements and keep projects compliant with standards. SeaRoc also develops specialised products such as SeaZephIR, a low‑motion floating lidar structure for offshore measurements, and supplies radio communications and project support hardware including access control, surveillance and communication systems, with associated installation, maintenance and logistics services. Alongside its software, SeaRoc delivers management, engineering and QHSE consultancy, marine coordination services, and GIS and CAD management to the offshore sector. Its teams provide technical HSEQ advice, risk management, process verification, monitoring and training, applying marine legislation, industry best practice and spatial data analysis to help offshore renewable energy clients run safe, efficient and well‑coordinated projects in challenging marine environments.
