Nexans is a global cable and cable-systems manufacturer positioned as a pure player in electrification, designing and supplying power and data transmission solutions that support the energy transition. Headquartered in France and listed on Euronext Paris, the Group operates in 41 countries and generated €6.1 billion in standard sales in 2025 with around 25,700 employees. Its activities span the full electrification value chain, from power generation through transmission and distribution to end-use in buildings and infrastructure. Core businesses are organized in three segments: PWR Transmission, providing high‑voltage subsea and land cable systems for offshore wind farms and interconnectors; PWR Grid, supplying medium- and high‑voltage cables and accessories for distribution networks; and PWR Connect, focused on low‑voltage building, infrastructure and industrial cables. Nexans also serves data and telecom, transport, automation, oil and gas, and other industrial markets. The company is vertically integrated in copper metallurgy with facilities in Lens, Montreal and South America and runs cable and accessory plants across Europe and North America, including major Canadian sites in Fergus, Weyburn and Montreal that manufacture residential, commercial, industrial, renewable and utility cables. It delivers complete export cable systems for offshore wind projects such as Dieppe–Le Tréport in France and the Tyrrhenian Link in Italy, maintains a subsea project backlog driven by interconnection and offshore wind, and is adding installation capacity with the cable‑laying vessel Nexans Electra. Strategically, Nexans is refocusing its portfolio on electrification through divestment of automotive harness activities and targeted acquisitions such as Cables RCT in Spain and Electro Cables in Canada. Its E3 model combines environment, economy and engagement, with circular-economy initiatives including copper and aluminium recycling, the CableLoop recovery service, and investments in new copper recycling capacity, alongside group-wide decarbonisation targets aligned with net‑zero by 2050.
