Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is an Indian multinational headquartered in Mumbai, engaged in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects, hi‑tech manufacturing and services across more than 50 countries. The company delivers large, complex infrastructure and industrial assets—such as transport systems, power plants, refineries, factories and water systems—and supplies heavy machinery and electrical and control products. Its main customers include government agencies, public infrastructure bodies, oil and gas companies, utilities, industrial manufacturers and large project developers, with revenues largely generated from long‑term EPC, installation and manufacturing contracts. In 2024 L&T reported revenue of about US$30.5 billion. L&T’s construction and energy businesses cover heavy civil works, buildings and factories, transport infrastructure, minerals and metals, water and effluent treatment, renewables, and power transmission and distribution. In energy it provides concept‑to‑commissioning solutions for onshore and offshore hydrocarbons, green and clean energy including electrolysers, offshore wind, and CarbonLite solutions for coal‑ and gas‑based power, nuclear turbine islands, pumped‑storage hydro and carbon capture systems. Manufacturing operations span heavy engineering equipment and critical piping for process and power industries, precision engineering and systems, special steels and heavy forgings, shipbuilding, construction and mining machinery, rubber processing machinery and industrial valves. Through LTIMindtree, L&T Technology Services, data‑centre and cloud platforms, semiconductor technologies, finance, realty, Hyderabad Metro Rail, GreenTech and EduTech, the group provides technology, engineering and financial services and participates in the green energy value chain from development and manufacturing to EPC. L&T embeds sustainability in an integrated reporting framework, targets carbon neutrality by 2040 and water neutrality by 2035, and runs extensive CSR programmes in education, health, skills, environment and social infrastructure.
