BTC POWER (Broadband Telcom Power Inc.) is a privately held U.S. manufacturer of electric vehicle charging systems headquartered in Irvine, California. Active since 1999, the company began by commercializing proprietary Flat Matrix Transformer (FMTx) power supplies for telecom and internet infrastructure before shifting its power electronics expertise into electric mobility. It moved into chargers for electric material-handling vehicles in 2005, launched Level 2 AC workplace and commercial EV chargers in 2011, and introduced 25 kW and 50 kW dual-protocol (CHAdeMO/CCS) DC fast chargers in 2013, which it describes as a primary DC fast-charging option in North America.
BTC POWER now manufactures a broad portfolio of Level 2 AC and high‑power DC fast chargers spanning roughly 7.2 kW to 350 kW and up to 1000 V, serving charge point operators, fleets, oil and gas and convenience retailers, fuel stations, retail centers, hospitality, workplaces, parking garages, dealerships, multifamily housing, and government customers. Its systems are used to charge passenger EVs as well as heavy‑duty transit shuttles, school buses, and specialty vehicles, and more than 22,000 BTC POWER charging systems have been sold worldwide. The company offers Buy America–aligned hardware and a dedicated U.S. production facility in Irvine that consolidates headquarters, engineering, manufacturing, training, sales, marketing, finance, and aftermarket service, supported by two Cebu, Philippines sites for engineering design, manufacturing, administration, and warehousing.
BTC POWER emphasizes interoperability and compliance with open standards, including ISO 15118 and OCPP certification, and designs hardware to meet U.S. federal requirements associated with BABA and NEVI funding. Beyond hardware supply, it supports customers with service plans, training programs, and participation in public funding and incentive initiatives to accelerate commercial, fleet, and public EV charging deployment across North America, Canada, and the EU.
