Two 225 kV HVAC export systems (2 circuits) with ~27 km subsea route (EMYN offshore substation to La Barre-de-Monts landfall) and ~30 km underground route (to RTE Soullans substation).
Prysmian Group was awarded a contract worth over €150 million by French TSO Réseau de Transport d'Électricité (RTE) to deliver two 225 kV HVAC export cable systems for the Yeu-Noirmoutier offshore grid connection linking the EMYN offshore substation to the French mainland grid. The contract scope was described as a turnkey approach covering design, supply/manufacture, installation and commissioning of the submarine export cables (two 225 kV three-core extruded, single-wire armoured cables) on an approximately 27 km subsea route to landfall at La Barre-de-Monts, and the supply and jointing of two 225 kV land cable circuits over an approximately 30 km underground route from landfall to RTE’s Soullans substation. Installation operations were planned to be carried out using Prysmian’s cable-laying vessel Cable Enterprise.
