RTE’s official project update dated 27 March 2024 states that on 20 March 2024 installation works for the first subsea export cable began, with the cable-laying vessel arriving on site and starting to lay the 27 km offshore cable between the landfall at La Grande Côte and the future offshore substation. This marks the start of offshore construction for the Yeu-Noirmoutier export connection.
