On 4 March 2020, Prysmian Group was awarded a contract worth over €150 million by French TSO Réseau de Transport d’Électricité (RTE) to act as cable supplier for the Yeu-Noirmoutier offshore grid connection, covering the turnkey design, supply, installation, and commissioning of two 225 kV HVAC export systems comprising approximately 27 km of three-core submarine cables from the EMYN offshore substation to landfall at La Barre-de-Monts and about 30 km of underground land cables linking the landfall to RTE’s Soullans substation.
