SSEN Transmission announced marine consultation events on 25 and 26 June 2025 for the proposed Yell High Voltage Alternating Current (HVAC) Connection, which will link Yell to the electricity transmission system on Mainland Shetland. The sessions at Burravoe Public Hall on Yell and Voe Public Hall on the mainland were organised to share information and gather feedback on potential subsea cable routes and landfall locations for the Yell HVAC subsea connection.
