By the time Iberdrola updated its Windanker project page in January 2026, the Spanish supplier Windar had completed and delivered all 21 monopile foundation structures for the Windanker offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea. Iberdrola notes that Windar “has already completed the delivery of the 21 foundation structures,” indicating that the full foundation manufacturing and delivery scope for the project’s XXL monopiles is finished. These steel monopiles will each be up to 84 metres long and weigh around 2,100 tonnes, and will support the 21 Siemens Gamesa SG 14‑236 DD turbines planned for the 315 MW project. This milestone marks a key manufacturing stage completed ahead of the main offshore installation campaigns, which include monopile and inter-array cable installation by Van Oord.
