On 24 September 2018, Prysmian Group announced the successful commissioning of the Wikinger inter-array cable system, having designed, manufactured, installed, buried, terminated and tested 81 km of 33 kV submarine cables connecting the 70 5 MW turbines to the offshore substation under a turnkey contract for Iberdrola.
