In February 2015, Iberdrola Renovables Offshore Deutschland awarded Prysmian Group a €60 million turnkey contract to design, manufacture, install, bury, terminate and test about 81 km of 33 kV inter-array submarine cables to connect the 70 5 MW turbines to the offshore substation within the 350 MW Wikinger wind farm, with cables produced at Prysmian’s Drammen facility in Norway and offshore installation scheduled for completion in 2016. This inter-array package was fully managed by Prysmian under a dedicated project management arrangement.
