In 2025, the UK Marine Management Organisation granted planning consent for the offshore elements of the 100 MW White Cross floating windfarm by issuing the necessary marine licence and associated Electricity Act consents, enabling installation of the floating turbines, offshore substation and subsea cables in accordance with the South West Marine Plan.
