On 7 May 2025, North Devon Council’s Planning Committee approved the onshore planning application for White Cross, granting consent for the export cable landfall at Saunton Sands, the underground onshore cable route beneath Braunton Burrows and the Taw Estuary, and the new onshore substation connecting to East Yelland.
