In 2021, the White Cross Offshore Windfarm secured an electricity grid connection agreement with Western Power Distribution for connection into the existing East Yelland substation, establishing the formal export route for power from the 100MW floating project. This grid agreement was achieved alongside project acceptance by The Crown Estate and marked a key early development milestone.
