In 2013, scientists from the University of Hull and the Holderness Fishing Industry Group began a long-term environmental survey at the Westermost Rough offshore wind farm site, surveying the location before turbine installation to study seabed impacts and, in collaboration with Ørsted, to examine shellfish size structure and catch rates before, during and after construction.
