Description
Visser Smit Marine Contracting Limited (VSMC) was contracted to install the offshore export cable for the Westermost Rough OFTO. Its scope covered laying and burying approximately 11–12 km of the 170 kV three‑core subsea export cable from the offshore substation platform to the landfall near Withernsea on the Yorkshire coast, including nearshore works along the coast near Hull to connect the 210 MW Westermost Rough offshore wind farm to the onshore grid. The works formed part of the 2013–2014 construction campaign for the OFTO transmission link.
