Description
STX France S.A. was contracted by Westermost Rough Limited to construct the offshore substation platform for the Westermost Rough transmission assets. The company fabricated a four‑storey steel topside module mounted on a jacket foundation to house the 150/34 kV transformers, 170 kV GIS, 34 kV switchgear, auxiliary systems, diesel generators and control rooms. The topside was built at STX France’s St Nazaire shipyard and delivered as a complete offshore HVAC substation ready for installation on the jacket at the Westermost Rough site, later forming part of the Westermost Rough OFTO asset base.
