Description
LS Cable & System UK Ltd supplied the export cable system for the Westermost Rough OFTO. For the offshore section, the company manufactured a single three-core XLPE‑insulated 170 kV subsea export cable of approximately 11.8 km route length running from the offshore substation platform to the landfall near Withernsea. LS Cable & System UK also supplied the underground 150 kV onshore export cables, with a total route length of about 15 km from the landfall transition joint bay to the new onshore substation adjacent to National Grid’s Hedon 275 kV substation, including associated single‑core power cables and fibre optic cable. This scope formed part of the main construction phase of the OFTO transmission assets.
