By February 2014, STX France S.A. had been selected to construct the offshore substation platform (OSP) for the Westermost Rough transmission assets, providing a four-storey steel topside module mounted on a jacket foundation to house transformers, switchgear, auxiliary systems and control rooms. Seaway Heavy Lifting Contracting Limited was appointed to install the OSP offshore.
