National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) issued the Completion Notice for the Westermost Rough project on 18 August 2014 under the Generator Commissioning Clause in the Energy Act 2013. This regulatory notice confirmed that the final stage of the generator-build transmission assets was able to transmit electricity, enabling the offshore generator to operate the transmission system for up to 18 months to complete commissioning of the Westermost Rough offshore transmission assets prior to transfer to the OFTO regime.
