Visser & Smit Marine Contracting (VSMC) signed a contract, under commission from DONG Energy/Westermost Rough Limited, to lay and bury approximately 11 km of export cable along the East Yorkshire coast near Hull to connect the 210 MW Westermost Rough offshore wind farm to the onshore grid. Industry reports state that this export cable installation work was scheduled to take place in the third quarter of 2013, representing the planned start of offshore export cable installation that would later form part of the Westermost Rough OFTO transmission link.
