On 1 March 2022, Offshore Wind Power Limited submitted a single Environmental Impact Assessment Scoping Report for the West of Orkney Windfarm, covering both offshore and onshore elements (including Caithness and Orkney), to Marine Scotland’s Licensing Operations Team (MS-LOT), The Highland Council and Orkney Islands Council under the relevant EIA regulations, initiating formal scoping for the project.
