A consortium comprising Macquarie’s Green Investment Group (now Corio Generation), TotalEnergies and RIDG finalised a grid connection agreement with National Grid for the West of Orkney Windfarm, securing a connection to the transmission network in Caithness. Later project documentation confirms this agreement, specifying connection to a new SHET-L substation in Caithness and noting that the project holds a grid connection agreement enabling generation from around 2029.
