Description
Scaldis carried out the installation of the offshore substation platform for the West of Duddon Sands transmission assets. Working under an installation contract linked to the OSP construction package, Scaldis was responsible for offshore lifting and setting of the fabricated four‑storey topside and its supporting jacket foundation at the wind farm site in the East Irish Sea. This offshore construction work established the physical offshore substation for the WoDS OFTO grid connection.
