Ofgem granted WoDS Transmission plc a licence to own and operate the transmission link to the West of Duddon Sands offshore wind farm, and confirmed that the project had reached financial close as part of Offshore Transmission Tender Round 2. The £269 million transmission link, which connects the wind farm to the onshore grid, thus achieved full financing and regulatory approval, making WoDS the fourth and final project in the tender round to close and enabling it to be owned and operated by WoDS Transmission plc for the next 20 years.
