The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) initiated the procedure for the preliminary investigation of site N‑9.3 and, on 4 December 2020, publicly announced the start of the process and published the draft investigation framework (Untersuchungsrahmen) describing the intended scope and content of the investigations, thereby opening stakeholder and public participation for the site that will host the 1.5 GW Waterekke offshore wind farm.
