On 27 November 2023, investment manager AIP Management, acting on behalf of Danish pension funds PKA and PFA, divested a quarter of their joint holding in the Walney Extension offshore wind farm, selling a 12.5% stake to renewable energy investor Octopus Energy Generation. Following the transaction, Octopus indirectly owns 12.5% of the 659 MW project, while PKA and PFA retain the remaining portion of their original 50% stake alongside Ørsted, which continues to own 50%.
