On 17 March 2016, DONG Energy re-awarded the contract for installation of 87 inter-array cables at the Walney Extension offshore wind farm to VBMS, whose scope includes route engineering, pre-lay grapnel runs, transport, offshore installation and trenching using its own cable-laying vessels and trenching tools.
