On 15 October 2015, DeepOcean was awarded a major contract by DONG Energy for the Walney Extension project to provide route engineering plus installation and trenching of about 136km of offshore export cables and a 23km interlink cable, to be installed from the vessel Maersk Connector with offshore works expected to start in Q1 2017 subject to final investment decision.
