Description
Iemants, in consortium with Engie Fabricom for DONG Energy, built two offshore HVAC substation platforms for the Walney Extension project, which subsequently became part of the Walney Extension OFTO transmission assets. The consortium fabricated the approximately 2,900-tonne topsides and jacket foundations in Hoboken, Belgium, prior to offshore deployment. These substations provide the offshore collection and grid export interface for the wind farm and OFTO system.
